No two gardens are the same: every community has different needs.

Sanzuma customizes garden plans depending on the space, and needs of each school. Working alongside the community, we help design and plant in a way that acknowledges and respects each garden's ecology and culture, and facilitates the garden's productive longevity.

Currently, we are active in eight Marin County schools. Please contact us if you would like to observe a class.

We can customize the program to the needs and desires of each school or community:

Organic gardening

Hydroponics and Aquaponics

Small farm animal husbandry

Solar cooking

Seed-to-table cooking and baking

Canning, preserving, and dehydration

Food safety

Nutrition education and Type-2 Diabetes prevention

And, once a garden is flourishing, we can offer comprehensive, hands-on instruction on making all-natural skin care products from the plants and ingredients found in your garden!

Fall, 2016: Sanzuma won the Golden Seed Award for its work in the San Rafael City School District!

Since May 2016, Sanzuma has been growing local, organic food for the San Rafael City School District!

Thank you to Mimi Melodia, Health and Human Services, and the SRCS for helping to make this happen.
